Mr. Bernard attended the Wolmer’s Boys School an in 1988 transitioned to the Howard University, Washington D.C, USA, Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA, Boston University and the University of London, UK. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management, a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of the West Indies. Mr. Bernard was admitted to practice law in Jamaica in 2013.
Sasha was a member of the Law School’s winning team that participated in the Margaret Forte Inter-Law School Trial Advocacy Competition held in Trinidad in 2023. Sasha claimed numerous awards at her graduation. These include the Hon. Mr. Justice Kenneth Smith, OJ Memorial prize awarded to the second-year student with the best performance in Trial Advocacy for the Margaret Forte Competition; Special Mooting Prize awarded by the Council of Legal Education; and The Keith A. Smith, JP Memorial Prize awarded to the year 2 student who passed the following subject areas in first sitting with the best performance in Conveyancing and Registration of Title, Civil Procedure and Practice I, Probate and Ethics of the Legal Profession, with competent performance in Trial Advocacy. Sasha was a candidate for Class Speaker.
Sasha is very charismatic and always wears a smile; however, do not be fooled by her bubbly personality, as she fights ardently to protect her client’s interest and is a very tough and shrewd negotiator. Ms. Wynter’s wit, charisma and experience in advocacy have equipped her to represent clients boldly and fearlessly. Sasha is very result-oriented and passionate about social justice. When she is not working on case files, you can be sure to catch her dining at her favourite restaurants or vibing to great 80’s souls or gospel music.
